17 Aug Journal Sentinel: Gentueri tops Wisconsin’s list of Inc. 5000 fastest-growing companies
Four Wisconsin companies landed in the top 500 fastest-growing companies in the United States in Inc. Magazine’s annual listing.
Inc. Magazine’s listing of 5,000 fast-growing privately held companies was announced Tuesday.
The ranking is created based on revenue growth over the previous three years. This is the first ranking to take into account revenue growth during the COVID-19 pandemic.
“The 2021 Inc. 5000 list feels like one of the most important rosters of companies ever compiled,” said Scott Omelianuk, editor-in-chief of Inc. in a news release. “Building one of the fastest-growing companies in America in any year is a remarkable achievement. Building one in the crisis we’ve lived through is just plain amazing. This kind of accomplishment comes with hard work, smart pivots, great leadership, and the help of a whole lot of people.”
The top Wisconsin-based company on the list at No. 112 was sexual assault collection kit maker Gentueri.
The Verona manufacturing company grew 3,688% over the last three years, according to the magazine. Gentueri’s collection kits are made to simplify the laboratory testing process.
