14 Jan Milwaukee Business Journal: ‘Bold’ strategy: Advocate Aurora Health plans to more than double revenue by 2025
Advocate Aurora Health is embarking on what it calls a “bold new strategy” to more than double its annual revenue by 2025 via mergers and acquisitions of health care systems, health insurers and consumer-facing health products.
The initiative could transform the largest health care system in Wisconsin and Illinois beyond its current rank as the 10th-largest not-for-profit health care system in the country. Advocate Aurora said at an investor conference Monday that a larger-scale business will “accelerate synergies and reduce costs.”
Advocate Aurora, which has dual headquarters in Milwaukee and suburban Chicago, is on track for about $12.8 billion in revenue in 2019 and established a goal of $27 billion by 2025.
“This bold new strategy will ensure that our organization is well positioned for a strong and healthy future so we can lead the change and fulfill our purpose of helping more people live well,” Advocate Aurora spokesman Adam Mesirow told the Milwaukee Business Journal Tuesday via email.
