29 Nov WisconsinEye: “Bright Ideas from the Green Chair” features Marshfield Clinic CEO Dr. Susan Turney
Dr. Susan Turney, CEO of Marshfield Clinic Health System, discusses the state of rural health care in the December episode of “Bright Ideas from the Green Chair,” a production of WisconsinEye Public Affairs Network.
Turney, who was born in Mellen in Ashland County, returned to her rural roots to lead Marshfield Clinic forward as one of the largest private, multi-specialty group practices in the United States. Serving a substantial rural population, MCHS employs physicians in 86 specialties and sub specialties in more than 50 Wisconsin locations.
From the Green Chair, Dr. Turney discusses the challenge of delivering high quality, affordable, seamless health care to what she describes as a client population that is “poorer, older and sicker” than elsewhere in Wisconsin.
